Artist Bio

Veronica Ramirez is a South Texas Native from the Rio Grande Valley. She has been dancing since the age of 14. She joined her high school drill team called the Red & Blue Sergeanettes in 2018 and served as 2nd Lieutenant and Head Captain during her time on the team. Throughout her high school career, she received many awards from Showtime International and ADTS that included Miss High Kick and Regional Solo Champion. She has trained in a multitude of styles such as Jazz, Contemporary, Kick, Pom, Lyrical, Military, Hip Hop, and Novelty. Ramirez recently became a staff member for Showtime International in 2023. 

Ramirez graduated high school with an associate’s degree in 2021. She is now attending Texas Woman’s University, where she is seeking a B.A. in Dance Education. Ramirez has trained in various styles of dance including: Horton, West African, African Diaspora, Post-Modern, Improvisation, Ballet, Urban Hip Hop, and Commercial Jazz. She has worked with new choreographers including Raechel Corey, Amanda Laabs, Allen LaPoint, Ilse Mascorro, Lillian Miller, Hadley Voss, and Charmian Wells. She has performed in the annual shows at TWU every semester including Dance UpClose (Fall 2022-Spring 2024), DanceMakers (Fall’ 23-Spring 2024), and MFA Culminating Projects (Fall 2023). After receiving her B.A. in Dance Education (6-12), she plans on dancing professionally and becoming a high school drill team director.
